Engineering Specification
Crimp-Type Multi-Stack Disconnects shall, electrically
and mechanically, connect permanently to a prestripped
end of a stranded copper wire and, have a tongue portion
with fingers which grip a Male Quick-Slide and a tongue
extension to be gripped by a Female Quick-Slide, in a
separable, reusable manner, thus forming a Quick
Connect Wiring Termination. The Multi-Stack
Disconnect line shall offer variations in separable
connections: Male Quick-Slide (0.250? wide), Female
Quick-Slide (0.250? wide) and barrel variations in wire
The vinyl insulated Multi-Stack Disconnect shall be tin
plated 0.016? thick brass, with a tongue formed to grip a
0.250? Male Tab and be gripped by a Female Quick-Slide
with a 0.23? long barrel fastened securely to a tin plated
brass insulation grip, covered by a molded nylon sleeve,
color coded and sized for a specified (AWG) wire size.
The Separable Connection formed by the Multi-Stack
Disconnect and the mating connector(s) may require a
suitable strain relief to prevent accidental separation.
(AWG) size (22-18, 16-14) and construction (vinyl
insulated and nylon insulated with insulation grip). The
tongue shall be marked with the wire range.
