Introduction
With the ASP1400, SENSIRION AG has introduced a new generation of differential
pressure sensors. The sensor system features outstanding sensitivity and a unique
dynamic range. Moreover, it is fully calibrated and temperature compensated. A standard
digital interface (serial RS-232 or SPI interface) enables the ASP1400 to be controlled from
your PC with the supplied software tools. The ASP1400 allows differential pressure to be
measured at a low power consumption and a very fast response time.
The ASP1400 evaluation kit offers an easy-to-use environment to illustrate the unique
features of the sensor system and to adapt it to your specific application. The contents of
the kit are listed below (see Fig. 1 and Table 1). It includes three ASP1400 sensors, a
serial interface cable, hose material, and a bypass tube to extend the measurement range
of the system. Furthermore, different brass couplings are provided to connect the bypass
tube to a wide variety of gas supplies.
