The ASP1400 is now connected with your PC and ready to use. Proceed to the next
section for a general measurement setup. For further information on connecting the
ASP1400 please refer to the datasheet.

General Measurement Setup
Once the hardware installation has been completed, a gas flow resulting from a differential
pressure, has to be applied to the ASP1400. Two measurement schemes are described
below:
_ either the differential pressure is applied directly to the nozzles of the sensor sy-
stem (A), or
_ the intermediate bypass tube is used (B) (see Fig. 3).
In order to apply a differential pressure to the nozzles of the system, a soft laboratory hose
of a diameter of 5mm is supplied with the evaluation kit. This hose is linked to a gas supply
(A) or to a bypass tube (B) (see Fig. 3). However, to prevent measurement errors the
rubber hose should be approx. 80mm in length.
